this is slightly offtopic, but I'd like to know how you guys edit the registry. i've never really played with that too much, even on my pc.

I installed Thermo1.0 on my smt5600 and want to calibrate the temperatures. Right now, the min and max read 200 and 280°C.

Ya, I would agree. I've broken this off into it's own thread. ;)

Well, I don't know much about the Thermo1.0 plugin. I have heard about it, but I don't know anything about why the values seem so high.

As for REgistry editors, there are a number of differnet tools out there. There are 2 different categories for this. First, you can get a registry editor that allows you to edit your Smartphones registry from your PC. And second, you can get an editor that edits the registry from your Smartphone. Whichever one you choose is up to you. ;)

I don't have time right now to dig up the links, but if you search these forums for "Windows Mobile Registry Editor" or "Smartione" or "PHM Registry" and prehaps even just "Registry Editor" and you should find one that suits your needs.

once again, thanks Mike!

I just want Thermo to be able to read the ambient temp w/ my 5600.

I use the Resco Registry Editor that comes with their file explorer.

Here's a link to a free PC based editor (http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7078) and another mobile registry editor (http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7480) and another one (http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7732). Oh, and we can't forget Smartione (http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6988)

And then there is PHM registry editor (http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4926) for use on your Smartphone.

I think that should give you more than a couple to pick from. ;)

Thansk guys. Xetra suggested PHM regedit but i'm sure they'll work fine.
So I simply add this line (w/ proper adjustment) to the registry?

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Xetranet\Thermo
REG_DW [Calib=100]

i think the temp is off by -7°C, so I'll have to input [Calib=93].

They also pointed me in the direction of a homescreen w/ temp displayed.

I tried adding that registry entry on my 5600. It didn't seem to do anything.
