Nick and NewsGator are teaming up to create the ultimate RSS solution. Allowing you to read and access your feeds from just about anywhere. As many of you already know, NewsGator offers an Outlook, Web, Email, and Mobile edition and an great synchronization engine to keep your feeds marked as read/unread across all the different platforms. However, NewsGator was missing a full featured desktop client, and a PodCasting solution. Both of which FeedDemon excelled at. FeedDemon on the other hand, was looking at adding a sync engine of it's own. Problem solved. :)

I've been using FeedDemon for well over a year now, and I love it. However, the lack of mobile access was always a sore spot. I've tried many of the mobile RSS readers, but they never sync with your desktop reader. To me, that's a big deal because I only use the mobile readers when I'm not at my desk and I don't want to be flooded with stuff that I have already read. So I'm looking forward to the benefits this merger will offer me. Unfortunately, it looks like I'll need to upgrade the subscription to get the mobile access that I really want. :? You can read more information about this merger on the NewsGator website. Congratulations Nick!

Big news in the RSS world! It's funny, I used to use Newsgator, now I use FeedDemon because I find a seperate client to be more useful and powerful.

I had attempted to use NewsGator, but I couldn't stand all my feeds being stuffed into such a small window. It was just too awkward. However, I did like the overall package they had to offer. The whole concept of sync'ing what you've read across multiple devices is fantastic. The lack of that feature has really prevented me from using any of the Mobile RSS Readers on the market. I have too many feeds, and it would suck to be forced to shuffle through all the same information again.

FeedDemon is a great application, and I'm looking forward to what Nick can do with the NewsGator Sync Engine integration. 8)
