This new version is even more packed with features than before. Some highlights include Event-based alerts, alternate actions for alerts like forced sound or send a text message, automatically unlock the keypad when a alert sounds. One interesting new feature is the optional "shadow appointments". This will create an Outlook appointment, without the alarm, that can be displayed on your homescreen and also get sync'ed to your desktop. <br /><br /> <img src="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/Temporale-20050512-Alerts.gif" alt="User submitted image" title="User submitted image"/> <br /><br />I've been using Alerts since the first beta, and I really like it. The only thing I felt it needed was the ability to force an audible alert even if the phone was in silent mode. John has added that, and a whole bunch of other cool features.
