I have this for my PPC and I love it BUT I need some help understanding why I'd want it on my phone. Why? well let's be for real. Until they develop a noice cancelling stereo headset with microphone I can't see listening to music on my phone for pleasure.

Why? Well I am a weekly flyer. Yes, that's it I've told the truth. I fly out Mondays and return home on Thrusdays. I'm a IT consultant. When I do listen to tuneage it is usually on my flignt or @ my desk. I want to drown out all of the miserable people so I can get into my own world of pure sound.

YOU CAN'T DO THAT WITH A PHONE:!: How do I know:?: Well I tried. Using my OEM stereo earbuds on a DC-9. I was watching a CSI episode I encoded for wmv and played on my SMT5600.

The pictures great. Sound SUX couldn't hear ANYTHING over the ENGINES.

So there.

Until I get the right equipment I'll keep my musak and my videos on my PPC.

xultar, you might want to try that Samsung i300 if/when it hits the market. From what I've read, it has powerful stereo speakers which should translate into good headset listening.

For me, I've been using my C500 for music a lot lately, and I was just getting sick of WMP. There's a lot of quirks that start to annoy me after a while, so I think I might try this.

Hey, I hear ya. I do have PocketMusic for my PPC. The sound is great. The equalizer AWESOME, the BASS is excellent.

I'm just missing the ability to use my noice cancelling headphones. I have tiny ears and I can't do the regular ear buds. So until I can get a noice cancelling headset with a mic I can't do the music on the phone thing.

So if there are any manufactures who read this board you already have one person looking for a product like that. I'm sure there are thousands of us out there.

If your noise-cancelling headphones have 3.5mm jack, you can buy a 2.5mm t o3.5mm converter at Radio Shack for $3.99. Mine works. It still isn't good sound quality as the sound is a little muffled and lacks punch, but its decent for watching shows.

There are some high quality music stereo headsets with microphone already on the market.

Check out the Jabra in-ear c120s and c220s. they are in the ear noise cancelling sets recommended for music but also have a mic and hang/answer button. Also a similar one is available from palntronics.
