If so what software are you using?

I'm curious about this as well. I'd like to know what software everyone is using, bitrate and how long the clip should be.

I use http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ then convert it to WMA using http://cdexos.sourceforge.net/ since my O2 cannot accept MP3 ringtones. Both are freeware. Audacity will save to MP3 directly; see the Tutorial listed under Help on the website for more details.

I encode with bitrates of 32-64kbps depending on the quality of playback I want and the length should not be more than 30 seconds as the call in most cases will be forwarded to service provider's voicemail system thereafter (assuming you have voicemail).

Thanks a bunch!
