Basically, i plan to buy an MPx 220 from amazon soon (when verizon contract ends), and since after rebates now, it is pretty cheap, i am thinking of getting a BT headset to go with it... my question is:
What is the best headset when paired up with the MPx220?

I've heard the Cardo Scala 500 being recommended often, as well as NextLink's Bluespoon series. Anything specific you're looking for, like size, call quality, noise reduction etc?

quality and cost!
size really is not a concern.
review links would be appreciated :D

I bought the Motorola HS810 Bluetooth Headset in Jan. I would highly recomment this BT headset. It's small, light to wear for long periods of time and people don't know that you are talking on the thing. You can also use your phone charger to charge the unit. It's also $60 at Amazon.com

I have to agree the HS810 is a good headset. I just got the BT800 (Jabra) which is really nice. I've gotten fewer complaints from people hearing me with the BT800. I don't think you'll be disappointed with the HS810 though and it's alot cheaper.

I can't get caller id with the BT800, which is a known problem with mpx220.
Do you know how to play mp3 and have it come over the BT800?
I know it's not good quality audio.

Yes the caller ID with the MPx220 is a problem, it works about 1/2 the time which means NOT GOOD ENOUGH! :ninja:

I only had it show the caller id the first time calling from home phone and never after that.
The BT800 showed that first number in it's call list, gone 2 days later.
I added a BT gps yesterday and it work immediately with Pocket Streets...
I'm optimistic that the pending ROM upgrade may help......
