One photo shows Minimo on the Orange SPV E200, which runs Windows Mobile 2003 for Smartphone, while the other shows the browser on the i-mate JAM, which runs the slightly overnamed Windows Mobile 2003 for Pocket PC Second Edition, Phone Edition. More details about the Windows CE version of Minimo were posted last month."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/Temporale-20050308-MinimoBrowser.jpg" alt="User submitted image" title="User submitted image"/> <br /><br />Pocket IE is no longer a must have on the Smartphone platform. We've had Opera for a number of months already and now we can add baby Mozilla - Minimo. If you're interested in giving this a try, you can download the latest build from <a href="http://www.mozillazine.org/talkback.html?article=6097">here.</a> Just remember that this is an early beta and could cause harm to your device.

Just remember that this is an early beta and could cause harm to your device.

You mean more harm than Activesync?

Sorry, I couldnt' resist.

Actually, I'm probably gonna play around with this later. I use Firefox exclusively now, and the idea that I can maybe, just maybe, have a better portable experience is definitely intriguing. PIE is weak, and there's no incentive to bump it up, and while a third party browser may not provide that incentive, at least it'll give users a choice.

as I posted also to the post on PPC Thoughts about this, try Opera :-) a public technical preview has been out for months and it's awesome.

Check out this photo. (http://www.flickr.com/photos/91116329@N00/6138807/in/set-153327/)

It seems that Minimo has a new twist on the scroll bars. I do not see the vertical scroll bar. Instead it seems there are two scroll bars at the bottom of the screen. :? Wonder if the top one is for horizontal and the lower most one is for vertical.

Will have to check out the beta.

I don't think there is a Smartphone 2003 build. Or maybe I could not find it.

Tried to see the build instructions. I could not decipher them.
