Just got 2 MPx220s for my wife and I. Found a lot of helpful answers searching the forums, on stuff like the dead mic issue, active sync, home page, etc.

But a few things I can't figure out, hopefully they are possible.

(1) When I go into Tasks, and try to type stuff in, iTAP takes over. I am unable to shut it off, so I CANNOT ENTER NUMBERS. 8O This is frustrating. Pressing the * key toggles me between 3 iTAP modes (caps, smalls, sentence case). But I cannot get to numeric entry mode. Why doesn't it let me switch between regular typing mode, to iTAP mode, then to numeric entry mode?

I had no pencil or pen with me, and all I wanted to do was write down some lengths of pine boards that I needed to buy at the Home Depot. Which lead to my next question:

(2) Is there any application like Notepad for the SmartPhone? I could not find one. 8O

I solved my problem by cutting myself with the battery cover, and writing the lengths on my shirt in blood. Hopefully SmartPhone has a better solution than that.

(3) The ringer volume is pretty low. Can it be set louder? Would a different ringtone help? I have the volume set at the highest level in the Normal profile. Using the default ringtone I guess. I cannot hear the phone ring if I leave the room.

1) HOLD the arrow(*) key down, wait and it will toggle through numeric, itap and regular key entry.

2) There are serveral note programs. Start with Orneta. (http://www.orneta.com) Its simple and free now. :)

If you want something more fancy try SmartphoneNotes. (http://www.smartphone.net/software_detail.asp?id=185) It's not free but very good.

3) I think it was called the "outdoor" profile. I renamed all of mine so I don't remember. It should be louder.

Hope the bleeding has stopped :D
