I am having problem connecting my G2 bt earphone to the SMT5600.

Error message:

"Your Smartphone did not connect with BlueTrek G2. The connection failed or the passkey is incorrect. Would you like to try again?"

I tried punching in "0000" passkey again, and same error popped up. Anyone with G2 bt setup please chime in.

TIA

I don't have one, but ....

Do you have any other devices that you could try pairing it to? It would help determine if it's the phone or the G2.

Another thought; have you checked that your phone is in discoverable mode?

I think you are entering the right passkey. Found these instructions (http://store.treocentral.com/content/accessories/9-32--97-5.htm), check the last para.

Let me add, BT setting was at discoverable mode, and I was able to see "Bluetrek G2" popped up on the SMT5600 screen, and then the prompt to enter the passcode. Passcode "0000" was entered per manual, at this point my SMT5600 would not recognize this passkey.

This is not a brand new G2, I was able to use this same G2 bt headset with my other SE T637 phone with no problem (this phone is no long in my procession, as I gave it to a friend). Not sure whether pairing with another phone previously is the culprit.

Any suggestion?

Let me add, BT setting was at discoverable mode,...

Was the phone in discoverable mode or the BT headset. Since you are discovering the headset, the headset must be set in discoverable mode. Just checking. ;-)

Another thing to consider might be a low battery in the headset.
