Does anyone used their 220 with a car bluetooth system?
I have the supertooth, which I love, but it does not seem to work with the 220. They recongize each other but the sound comes through the phone not the supertooth. Another reason I love the supertooth is that it works on long lasting batteries (no wires hanging around) and it fits on the visor.
can anyone recommend another device?
Thanks

Bob

I have a Parrot bluetooth handsfree. It is the model that plugs in the lighter. It works great. The only thing with the MPX220 is that the voice dial does not work over bluetooth, another oversight on Motorola's part.

Actually, when we were talking about the Bluespoon AX headset the other day, someone pointed out that their FAQ notes that voice dial on Windows Mobile Smartphone devices does not work due to a bug from Microsoft, and they are working on a fix. The links and discussion can be found here (http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7561)

For once, it's not Moto's fault.

Ah...gotta disagree.

Voice commands/dial over bluetooth worked on the SMT-5600 I had.......

Good to know. In the thread I referenced, the FAQ lists the C500 and iMateSP3, but don't mention the SMT5600. We figured it was just an oversight. Glad to hear it isn't.

I use the Parrot Bluetooth w/ caller ID with my MPX220. THo the voice dail doesnt not work thru the to the phone. The Parrot 3300 w/LCD caller ID does have its own voice dail feature built in, that i use. I like this one and it works with my mpx220.

James,
Thanks for your post about the parrott 3300. Do you live in the States, and if so, can I ask you where you purchased it? It seems plenty of sites have the 3000 and 3100 but not the 3300.
Thanks

Actually, I emailed Motorola about this (citing safety issues while in a vehicle), and they replied promptly saying that the BT voice dial shortfall is a Windows Mobile SP issue. They stated that they were currently testing WM2005 on the MPx220, and BT voice dial is up and running in that version.

Don't buy them all, I'm still thinking about whether to do the 3300 or 3100. I understand the 3300 GPS setup is a bit touchy.

This might be a stupid question...

I have a Jabra BT250 bluetooth headset... I can't figure out how do I "pair" it with MPx220 so that I can start using it with the phone....

Thanks in advance for any pointers...
