I have an unlocked Moto MPx220 SmartPhone but am using it with the T-Mobile service. Everything seems to work fine except GPRS. I’ve spoken to T-Mobile tier-2 support 4 times in the last couple of days and each time I’m told it should work, they SMS the settings to me (which never arrive, even though I get regular SMSs just fine), then they try to walk me through a manual configuration (which is never the same from one CSR to the next) and in the end it results in failure every time. Has anyone been able to config the phone to connect to T-Mobile’s GPRS networks and, if so, can you please let me know the config parameters?

Question #2: I’d like to synch the MPx220 with Outlook via Bluetooth. My laptop supports BT (which worked fine with my last non-SmartPhone phone), the MPx supports BT, and ActiveSync on the MPx220 seems to support BT. But when I try to establish a BT connection between my laptop and the phone the only service I can see is Dial-Up Networking. It’s as if there’s no serial BT option supported on the phone. Has anyone figured this one out?

Any advice is appreciated. Thx!

The cruel reality is that the only BT support included IS Dial-up networking.
See this thread (http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7424) for more on this omission. The good news is you can Active sync with BT. I have done it.

Check out the link in this post (http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7025) for T-Mobile's network settings. (I don't have T-mobile, so I can't confirm these are right)

Check the following link for details on T-Mobile GPRS Settings.

Also if you have not installed much applications on it. I will recommend a Hard Reset. And start fresh.

If you do not want to perform hard reset. Power off the phone. Pull the battery and the SIM card out. Wait. And then put it all back in. I have been told to do that with the CSRs some times. They say it forces the cellphone to re-register with the cell network and grab new settings.
