Doctors told the 14-year-old girl from the north-western Italian city of Savona that she was suffering from "severe tendinitis" as a result of her addiction to sms writing. They said the so-called "text message injury", though temporary, was a growing problem among mobile phone users."</i><br /><br />I think my wallet would give out long before my thumb.

Does this really come as any big surprise?

With all the RSI reported by heavy pc users over the years, it was only a matter of time before this started to surface. It's also one of the reasons I have absolutely no interest in a mobile device with a thumbboard.

I have to wonder why anyone would be sending >100 txt messages a day. Good grief, there are times when it's appropriate to use a phone as a phone. :)
