having the mpx220 about 4 months now, i have yet to see the actual voicemail notification/alert..

all i get is a lame text message that says "05"

is there anyway to fix this or get it working properly? has anyone figured that out?

Oddly enough, I have no problems with notifications, and I have a T-Mobile SIM in my MPX 220...

i had t-mobile for two weeks, all i got was a text message that said "You have a new voice message".. and never got the proprietary voicemail alert/notification..

When I had the .325 ROM, I got that 05 text message. When I exchanged it for the 1.30 ROM, I got the proper VM notification. What ROM do you have? It sounds like it could be an old version.

The 325 ROM showed the "05" text message instead of the proper voicemail icon, but only in certain markets (New York City area, including Northern New Jersey, and some parts of the Washington DC area) - It has something to do with a slight difference in the voicemail implementation in those areas.

The MPx220 is not the only phone to have had that same problem - a lot of the first versions of new phones are hitting that same issue - The SX66 comes to mind
