Hi all,

I have decided to downsize my gadget collection, and I find my MPx220 is the one I use the least so I want to sell it. Since this is my first cell phone, and I am in a contract with AT&T, I have some questions:

1) If I pull my SIM card can I use it in another phone and preserve my number?
2) Will my contract be in default if I change phones?
3) Is it ok to sell a used phone with no SIM, what do I need to state when I sell it, the carrier, etc?
4) Is it possible to get my AT&T MPx220 unlocked, would this help me sell it?

Thanks

I think the phone could already be unlocked, Try it (Mine was a best buy cingular but it worked with a TMobile SIM)

The contract is not dependant on handset, you can use whatever hadset you want, but you have to honor the months left on the contract. Your phone number follows your SIM not your handset.

My local best buy sells loose Cingular SIMS for $25 with prepaid, free with a 1 year contract. I'm not sure if they could get one for $25 and a 0 Year contract (I think they can). And I'm sure they can get a sim and service if they want to go TMobile.

:D hope this helps

How do I find out, find a friend with a modern Cingular phone, would Sprint work too?

Sprints no good, they're CDMA, not GSM.
