I know the phone comes with MSN messenger, but I'm not a user of it. Does anyone know how I can get AIM (AOL Instant Messenger for those who need to know what the acronym stands for) installed on my MPx220? I checked www.aim.com and they have a version for Pocket PC's, but I didn't see a version for smart phones. Anyone have any idea? Thanks for any help anyone could provide whether good or bad...

You'll have to use a third party app. Try Agile Messenger. I'm not sure if it supports AIM, but it does support a number of different IM Networks.

It does support AOL and ICQ, Yahoo, and MSN. The Smartphone 2003 version is in beta right now but I think its shareware.

a buddy of mine recomended the same program after i had posted my question. I installed it but don't think its going to work for me as I don't have a data plan, i was hoping it would work through the text messaging system as my regular not so smart phone did... I am also using T-Mobile, not Cingular, if that makes any difference...

There is also a SMS chat program out there. It uses Text Messeges, but I can't think of the name of it right now.... :?

I have tried to install Agile Messenger Smartphone 2003 BETA and the installation fails because it is not Signed! Anyone else have this problem, and worked around it?
