I see from Microsoft that this can be purchased for $24.95. Is is available any other way and does GPS work with the Mpx 220? Thanks. Obviously, I am a newbie.

You can buy the Desktop PC version of "Microsoft Streets & Trips 2005" and you will get the Pocket PC and Smartphone version of Pocket Streets for free along with the PC version. :-) The best deal. You can find the link to the Amazon.com listing for the product over here...

Also if you are looking for a Smartphone only mapping software, then I would recommend you take a look at Mapopolis (http://www.mapopolis.com). It is in Beta and it works great. Also you can try out the maps for free for upto 7 days.

Oh on the topic of GPS. The MPx220 does not have the Bluetooth serial config tool, so some of the GPS Software like Mapopolis that I suggested do not work with the MPx220.

The good news is that Pocket Streets works with BT GPS. And so does Co Pilot Live (another mapping software).
