Besides an improved layout, and navigation, the site now supports Cingular and the MPx220. I see a lot of forum questions about configuring devices, if you've been having problems, you might want to check out this site. :)

Still the SMS message never comes to my Cingular MPx220.

I know things are right on my end as I send and receive SMS all the time.

Now if only Cingular would update their site so that the MPx220 was listed as a compatible phone on their Media pages

OK, the SMS message did show up but for some reason I didn't get notified. Good to see this working :)

For some reason, I am unable to access this site. I'm new to the smartphone venue, so maybe there's something I'm missing with regard to the prerequisites? :?

Any additional information is welcome! :)

I was asked to accept a certificate before I got to it the first time. Could that be the trouble you are having?

do you have to be a Cingular customer to use this service?

No they list Verizon, Sprint, Tmobile and AT&T (same as Cingular now I guess).

I wasn't even asked that. Just a message telling me that the page is unavailable.

I'm trying to access this page from my desktop PC, not my smartphone. Could this be the reason? :?

I would think you could still use it for Favorites at least

I don't think T-Mo ever officially sold the device.

Worse, the devices listed seem out-of-date; they only list Smartphone 2002 for the i600 from Verizon, but WM2003's been out for quite some time now.

Has anyone tried it with a device not listed? I think it should still work.

if you select t-mobile and pick either device, you'll receive a text message and you can download the file, but it will not install. with cingular and the MPx220, i never receive the text message...so, it doesn't work. i even tried T-Mobile's configurator (https://secure.mouse2mobile.com/clients/tmobileUS/ota_support/getNumber.asp?selectedOption=internet) which has the MPx220 listed, but i never received a text message.

When I tried this earlier today on my 220 I got the messeage, but never got notified, it was just sitting there in my SMS inbox. I found it by accident!

Lasher are you with Cingular or T-Mobile?

Cingular

The site is designed to help you configure your phone for your carrier. It only deals with official Windows Mobile phones sold by that carrier. It's not going to offer information on how to setup a Audiovox 5600 on T-Mobile or Cingular since they don't sell/support the phone.

You would think that Microsoft would know that Verizon now (finally) offers the i600 with SP2003. So why is it not supportted in this version of the site when it was in the last version? After a year with the i600, I am slowly but surely getting disgusted with the lack of consistent support for this phone.

The Verizon i600 2003 update does not have all of the Mobile2Market certificates that the configuration client needs to update your phone.

As long as the OS and the mobile operator matches, it *might* work. However, this is not supported.

Is this a tmobile branded MPX220, or an aftermarket phone? When you say it does not install, do you see the usigned application prompt?
