http://www.greenlightwireless.net/skweezer/default.aspx

"Greenlight Wireless Corporation is announcing the release of a free version of its popular Skweezer portal, which optimizes Web pages, searches, and e-mail for use on PDA devices (Windows Mobile Pocket PC and Smartphone, Palm, Symbian) and mobile phones. Mobile Internet users can access the free version of Skweezer by visiting their website from any wireless data-enabled handset. Skweezer is essentially a Web portal that enables visitors to browse the Internet with Skweezer's optimization technology. This technology compresses and reformats Web content being downloaded to the user's device, so that it loads faster, looks better, and is easier to navigate on small screen devices. The company says that since the Skweezer portal reduces a file's size before it's sent to the device, users who pay wireless data charges on a "per-kilobit" basis save money when they browse with Skweezer."

While Microsoft, Mozilla and Opera are working hard to make a better version of the browser, Greenlight Wireless is offering a FREE web based service called Skweezer, that reformats the web pages to enable easier and faster browsing in the current Smartphone browsers.

Excellent application. Using on my SMT5600, very speedy and beautiful, can't wait to try it out on my hx4700 next. It should be great with wi-fi! And I like their business plan - create the demand for it by offering it for free and then sell upgrades to slightly better service, BUT also offer services for webmasters to optimize versions of their pages for Skweezer and offer services for mobile operators. This looks like a very good company with a well thought out business plan.
