MPX220: Issue with Webpages

A friend just bought a MPX220 with the orange sticket on it. It is great except for one thing. When he goes to webpages, Google for example, the graphics look really bad. ALmost like 8 bit. Any ideas as to what this is. He does have the box check to show images in IE.

Not sure. The screen is pretty small but it could also be that the page is not optimized for small screen rendering. These are guesses on my part.
