Then you'll want to check out the Windows Mobile Smartphone. As with the Pocket PC and the Phone Edition devices, the basic design elements and the software for the Smartphone were created by Microsoft but the physical devices themselves will be manufactured by other, independent firms. Like the Phone Edition, Smartphones are, for the most part, marketed by wireless service providers like Verizon and AT&T Wireless. Smartphones are the size and shape of a medium-sized mobile phone. Current Smartphones have a full-color, 176 x 220 pixel display-larger than most mobile phones yet smaller than the Pocket PC's 240 x 320 display."

Rich Hall has done a pretty good job at explaining the differences between the different Windows Mobile line of products. If you can not decide which device would best suite your needs, I would suggest you give this article a look. However, I can't say that I agree with the medium-sized comment.
