Gears over at CoolSmartphone.com has posted about this sighting that his wife noticed.<br /><br /><i>"Yup, that's definitely an SMT 5600! (The C500 would have the letters "SPV" betwen the buttons below the screen, but lets not split hairs). You can see it right here in the latest Maroon 5 video for their song "Sunday Morning". In the vid, the SMT 5600/C500 is being used to video a gang who are doing a spot of Karaoke on a night out, singing along to Maroon 5's hits"</i><br /><br />So that's famous sighting #1. I will add Alex Albrecht, formerly of The Screen Savers on TechTV. On a couple different shows, Alex has pulled out his Samsung i600. Anyone else have a sighting to add, famous or otherwise? :)

I've only seen one other person with a Smartphone in the last year!

Me too. I saw a person with an i600 when I was at the National Mall in DC a couple of months ago. We are far and few between. I remember back when I got my first iPAQ Pocket PC. I got it around July of 2000 when they were in short supply. In the next year or so I only ever saw one other person with one. When I was in class someone would get out their Visor or Palm to ooh and awe everyone. I couldn't keep quiet so I had to always be a jerk and one-up them with my Pocket PC and Stowaway keyboard. Am I off subject yet?

Las Vegas on NBC frequently has an array of PPC Phone Edition devices on it. It's not quite a Smartphone, but it's close!
