Clueless about the mods

I am a newbie to the smart phone world and I am just getting a taste of the potential cool factor of these little gems. Regarding mods, I realize what folder to install them to, however I cannot seem to get them to work, in particular the smart monitor. Should this be something that I should even be messing around with considering my lack of experience??

Working with home screens is not easy. Especially editing the XML file to add tags for Smart Monitor.

I hope you have seen the SmartMonitor document, because the syntax is critical when editing the .home.xml file.

Ensure that SmartMonitor CAB has been installed on the Smartphone.

Also, you need to copy your .home.xml file to the following folder..
\Storage\Application Settings\Home

And then you should be able to select it in the Settings->Home Screen

If your screen is not showing up then there is some syntax problem with the .home.xml file.

It may be easier to use an application like Homescreen Designer at first to get a good grip on the .home.xml creation or home screen layout/editing. :-)
