Under the agreement, Intellisync® Data Sync software - a key component of the Intellisync Mobile Suite™ mobility platform - will be integrated into AppForge’s mobile application product line. The combined solution offers developers the best of data synchronization and mobile application development, enabling the creation and integration of sophisticated applications in record time. Data from an independent research firm shows that data synchronization is a top priority for AppForge customers developing enterprise applications for mobile devices. “Our enterprise customers who are building custom mobile applications are finding the middleware required for remote data transfer is a critical item for successful deployments,” said Gary Warren, Chairman and CEO of AppForge. “The integration of AppForge Crossfire and Intellisync Data Sync will provide our customers a simple and powerful solution to quickly deploy data-centric mobile applications regardless of the device or operating system being used."</i><br /><br />This is bad news for RIM. Intellisync has been pushing hard lately, and with this agreement they will have the developers behind them too. Just think of the possibilities. You could have your companies sales force application automatically push updates to your field reps. Pretty cool stuff. :)
