T-Mobile may have taken it own sweet time to enter the Smartphone market and annoyed a whole bunch of people in the process. But they are doing everything right and better than anyone's expectations.

Way to go T-Mobile! :rock on dude!:

I am pretty sure these models will land up in US. It will be a shame if T-Mobile/HTC is not planning on releasing these customized Smartphones in the US market.

I was reading some place that T-Mobile USA will give the BlackBerry 7series some coverage, couple of months, before they begin the SDA promotion. They don't want to confuse the market with two Smartphones or create a work/advertising overload.

Cool. Thanks for the link! Hey, wait a second... The SDA-Music is actually shorter than the SDA?

Way to go T-Mo!

I really hope these hit the US before christmas (yes and I mean this year)...

I think I'll actually hold and wait for this one rather than get the 220 now... oh the decisions decisions...

I even like the specs on this phone: http://www.smartphone-web.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=553

And about $100.00 US with 2 year contract - something I can really deal with. OH I SO HOPE this will be the same for the US SOON!

Dawg, that matches what our work T-Mo National Account Rep said --- "these phones have been delayed for awhile in the US".

Hopefully they'll be done with the BlackBerry stuff by the end of November and move on to Windows Smartphones by December because I know at least ONE stocking that wants one. (mine mine mine mine) :D

:shocked!: WOW!

Impressive styling. Its almost as if Apple sat down with HTC & T-Mobile, and designed this phone. :werenotworthy: The silver and white body...(where did the drool icon go)..I want it. I don't care about Quad-band anymore!

The size, the sharp style and the screen to keypad ratio...makes the screen look bigger. W O W!

It's right here --> Lower right hand corner, last emoticon.

You see, the people are turning. Motorola is going to find themselves in some big trouble soon. People are getting sick and tired of waiting. There are plenty of other devices hitting the streets in the coming months. The 220 should have been out before the end of July. They would have cleaned up, big time. Now, not so much. :?

I am definitely sick.

I also know that Motorola and AT&T will not provide ROM updates. I am not talking about 2002 to 2003 upgrade. But just simple ROM updates for fixing bugs etc. Orange and i-mate have been good about it. Don't know about T-Mobile. Wonder how they support their PDA phones?

They released (for free) the Windows Mobile 2003 update for their PocketPC. :)

Check out the high res pictures in this infoSync article. (http://www.infosyncworld.com/news/n/5320.html) Page 2 has the SDA, and Page 3 has the SDA-Music.

And these PDF documents..

SDA Business (http://www.t-mobile.de/downloads/pressemitteilungen/sda.pdf)
SDA Music (http://www.t-mobile.de/downloads/pressemitteilungen/sdamusic.pdf)

SDA and SDA Music have the same size. When I was looking at the Smartphone-Web.com pictures, it gave me the impression that the SDA Music is smaller than SDA Business.

Update: Forgot to mention that the PDF links are in German.

I'm going to go out on a limb here, but looking at past history... T-Mo (Germany) announced their XDA device for distro in the EU around this same time - it didn't hit the US until early summer/late spring of the following year.

I'm betting that we (in the US) are going to have to suffer the same process in having to wait for the SDA (oh I want one now) until May or June of 2005.

sigh

Does anyone know any of the big wigs at T-Mo? Have any dirty secrets on them so we can creatively push them to release this outstanding line here in the US - THIS YEAR!?!?
