Hello,

Just got a new i600 and it already had SmartPhone 2003 installed. I haven't been able to install Pocket MSN, though. Insufficient privs, so the phone says. I was hoping someone has some insight to this. I have considered installing the HKCR Registry Key Update found here:

http://www.samsungtelecom.com/support/mit/

But, I'm afraid that was only needed for SmartPhone 2002. Anyone know for sure?

Thanks.

- Jim

Pocket MSN is quite a different animal than MSN Messenger:

One nice thing it provides is http sync to/from the device's native inbox for your hotmail or msn mail.

Oh, that MSN. Microsoft offers too many MSN's.

Now I understand. Insufficient Privilegdes typically means that the device is locked and the application is not signed. If you check out the Pocket MSN getting started page (http://mobile.msn.com/ac.aspx?cid=uuhp_getstarted), at the end of step 1 there is a not about unsupported devices. That link says that any Smartphone where "Wireless service provider has locked the SIM" is not supported. So you won't be able to install pocket msn on the i600. Sorry.
