Nothin new so far except pricing and availability. According to heise online, the SDA should cost without a contract 369 Euro, with a two years subscription around 100 Euro."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/t-mobile_sda.jpg" alt="User submitted image" title="User submitted image"/><br /><br />This is a slick-looking phone, but the more important bit of info here is that T-Mobile, one of the largest mobile carriers in the world, is finally getting on the Smartphone train. Excellent! :D

Except a mini USB haven, which serves also as load socket, there are connections for a Stereo Headset and an external antenna. The Windows Handy develops slack connections via IrDA interface or Bluetooth radio

Are they saying that this handset is lacking Bluetooth and IrDA?! 8O

A few english news sites have picked up the story...here's one

Dubbed Smart Digital Assistant (SDA), the tri-band phone starts selling in Germany in early October, with plans to roll it out in other European countries where T-Mobile operates such as the U.K., the Netherlands, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Austria, according to T-Mobile spokesman in Germany Husam Azrak.

The phone will probably be launched in the U.S. as well, although that decision has not yet been finalized, Azrak said.

Thanks for the link Kris. That article says "The SDA includes a built-in camera and Bluetooth", and all for under 100 Euros with a contract. Not bad.

Hopefully this is a mistranslation and doesn't mean that you'll HAVE to use MMS to get the pictures off the phone:

"Pictures cannot be transferred directly via Bluetooth or IrDA to PCS or other Handys"

So let me see... T-Mo and o2 where running with their XDA device how many months in advance of the US? I wish - hope and pray - that T-Mo launches this in the US soon - I'm dyin and can't wait for a smartphone.

Looks like everything seesm like it is right around the corner but I haven't seen anything for sale yet - sigh

BTW - does anyone know the price of the 220?
