How can you add custom sounds to SMS, and Email notifications?

I read through the forum and successfully added custom ringtones I made myself from movies to my phone. I can select them as ringers but never as notification tones like for SMS or Emails...all the default ringers like Ham, Voice, etc are their in the list but not the ones I made. Am I missing something? thanks!

Aree you installing them to the Sounds folder?

You should be able to do that, no problem. Make sure you're putting them in the right folder, and it you're still having problems, I suggest downloading Soundz Cool (http://www.smartphone.net/smartphonethoughts/software_detail.asp?id=4) It makes things really easy for setting and changing all of your Smartphones sounds.
