"With the busy summer travel season underway and the increasing popularity of wireless portable electronics with both business and leisure travelers, now is an perfect time to reiterate the importance of creating a new industry standard that will help manage the use of these devices on board commercial aircraft," said Douglas Johnson, senior director for technology policy at CEA."<br /><br />I hope this happens. It would be nice to be able to still work while traveling. However, I don't get out much, so I can't say I've had a problem with the airlines. What have your experiences been like when you try and use your mobile device on a flight?

when i was flying to Disney last year, i was using my ppc. We had 25 minutes left in flight, and i wanted to just see one thing on my calendar. (which took like 10 seconds) The flight attendant said "Ur turning that off now, right?"

(hat story had no point, sorry)

Are you talking about a plain-jane (ie: no phone/wireless) PPC? And they had a problem with that?!
