What ever happened to the WM 2003 Update for i600?

Everyone was buzzing about this firmware update a few months back and now as we enter the second half of 2004, I don't see it mentioned anymore.

Is this a dead issue now or can we expect Verizon/Samsung to be posting this update any day now?

I've been wondering the same thing... We're already up to July of 2004, its about time they got the 2003 version up and running for the i600!

Since Sprint just announced that they will be offering the i600 with 2003 http://www.sprintpcsinfo.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=531, Verizon should have the upgrade out soon.

The press release states: Based on its release date, this would fall in-line with the delivery of Windows Moble 2003 for Smartphones for the Verizon version of the i600, expected in days.
