Hi:

I have been using a Samsung i600-Verizon for about 6 months. Everything has been good. All of a sudden the phone will longer allow me to install applications - the application seems to begin to install on the phone and then about half way through the screen goes back to the home screen, without completing the install. 8O

Any ideas how to remedy this ?

Not sure. Have you powered off the phone recently? Also, what application are you installing? Is it signed?

a. Verify that the installer that you are running is meant for your version of Smartphone (Signed, 2002 and not meant for Pocket PC).
b. Before installing this app, did you try to install an app which was not meant for your phone. It may have not installed and is now blocking this app from installing.

Note: To clear out the path ""IPSM\Windows\AppMgr\Install", you will have to use an explorer that runs on the phone like Resco or Smart Explorer. You will not be able to see the contents of this folder when you are viewing it using Desktop Computer and ActiveSync - My computer - Mobile Device....

I wish I could find out how you got your modem installed on your computer for your i600. I can't get my modem installed for mine. If you can help, please email me at [email protected]. THANKS!

Looked like clearing the AppMgr folder out did the trick. Luckily the phone let me install an Explorer (Resco) so I could access the files.
