View Full Version : Retraction on Smartphone 2003 Server ActiveSync

Since I was criticizing the lack of this feature, it's only fair that I retract my earlier statement: it seems that on my E200, running the Smartphone 2003 OS, the server sync timer does kick off when you first boot up the phone. I seems strange not to have noticed it on the 2003 OS after being so fixated on it in 2002, but I guess my expectations were that it didn't work, so I didn't notice that it did. :worried:So here's how it works: if it's been longer than your preferred time span since the last sync, it will immediately do a sync. If the phone is turned on, it does the server sync, then it's turned off, when you turn it on five minutes later it will not do a sync. Nice! I have to really applaud the Smartphone team at Microsoft for implementing this feature in exactly the same way that I would have done it.
