Last I checked you had to do the following which makes SMS very hard on the Samrtphone.

From Verizon in Dec 2003, "The problem that is occurring when sending a text message to an e-mail address is as follows. The text message is being sent from an e-mail program and the Samsung i600 wants to treat the text message as an e-mail, not a text message. Therefore, it requires the "6245" code to be able to send text messages to e-mail addresses."

Hmm, i wonder if thats why I cant send sms messages back to MSN messenger. What is this 6245 you mentioned? is it added to the address?

You have to list the 6245 in the To: field and then the address in the subject field. Because of this you can not use your contacts and need to either cut and paste or type from scratch every address. Makes it almost impossible to send SMS messages. I contacted Verizon tonight and they still do not have a fix.
