What Web Browser Do You Use With iOS? Here Are Some Options...

What the author has done is a full rundown on the browsers he has found useful on iOS, as well as why he likes them. Several options, including Diigo and Opera Mini, are some of the same ones I have tried but end up going back to Safari. Not sure why, perhaps because it is comfortable and linked to my OS X bookmarks and it keeps things uncluttered on my screen. What do you use for your web browsing or do you just stick to the tried and true Safari?&nbsp;</p>

I like Perfect Browser. I use it on my iPad and iPhone. Some of the features that I like:


It does an excellent job of spoofing the user agent of a bunch of different desktop browsers. With Safari on the iPad, there were still sites that insisted on giving me the mobile version. This fixed it.
Great full screen mode on the iPhone, with transparent controls that are still useful.
On the iPad, I like the tabbed pages much better than Safari's implementation...and it works the same way on the iPhone.
Transparent scroll bar, so you can see the right side of the page and have a real scroll bar.
Several desktop-like settings, including the ability to automatically clear everything and go to your homepage on restart...a great feature if somebody else might pick up your iOS device and open the browser.

I could make this list much longer, but I think this gives a good overview of some of the features I like.

I've tried a few, but always go back to Safari. It is good to look at the sites that I create for clients on "other" mobile browsers, just to see if they're rendering correctly. Most do, a few more obscure ones, don't. I wish that there were a Mozilla alternative, as I'd love to use OneSite (correctly and fully) on my iPad.

iCab Mobile is also a good 3rd party browser. the UI is relatively similar to safari so the learning curve is low. Packed with all the features, tabs, adblocking, browser agent changes, private browsing, etc...

I tried a few of them but always go back to Safari. It's still king in render speed. I do use a jailbreak app that allows it to go full screen if I choose.
