Motorola MPx200.

I want to buy a motorola MPx200 but don't want the service provided by AT&T.
Can I buy the Mpx without the service, SIM and unlocked? and could I be guaranteed that once I put in my SIM from another wireless provider the phone will work or does Motorola and AT&T have the phone locked just for that network.

Any comments would be appreciated.

You can buy the MPx200 from Tek n Toys (http://estore.shopplex.com/app/storefront.aspx?cat_id=9&inv_id=31203132244335&modid=30214092059015), which is fully unlocked, and triband instead of the crippled ATTWS version. It's not cheap though to buy it without a contract. You may find deals on ebay, but the product will not be garaunteed, like it will be if you buy it through a reputable e-tailor.

Till now I have no problem with ATT and just the thought I could talk underground with it just make me stay with them.
