The Future According to Vodafone

Everything revolves around wireless data and messaging. Interestingly, there isn't a mobile phone to be seen! Do you think the mobile phone as we know it will one day be extinct?

Yah I think the mobile phone as we know it today will certainly dissappear - how fast denpends on the culture. It seems that Europeans - actually it seems like anyone outside of the USA is willing to adapt newer technology and evaluate how they can use that technology to enhance and change their lives.

I do believe that we can have a central communications hub - either a necklace or watch - and things will plus into that which enable us to do everything a phone does now, and more.

It will be neat to see what happends 20 years from now...

I agree with possmann. The phone as we know it now won't last.
