on the mpx200, it has the ability to put in a sound for each contact but it doesn't work. You can assign the sound when you edit a contact, but when the phone rings, it rings with the default not the custom one.

Kinda funny that such a feature is found on some of the most basic phones, but not on these.

There's a few 3rd party apps that you can use to do this. Search Handango.

I have searched all the places I can think of including Handango. Can't find any such program. Plenty of Photo caller ID programs but nothing for tones. :(

I have loaded Caller 2 Picture and think the program could be good but it does not seem to fix the caller id problem. Accordingly the rings have not yet worked on my phone.

Well now I have 2 caller ID programs and find the one I dont have is the one with the ringtones. Maybe I dont need custom ring tones after all.

Most software that I've tried on the i600 works. Custom ringtones is I believe more of a smartphone 2002 issue.

I stand corrected - somewhat. I am beginning to use Caller 2 Picture frequently and the ring tones do work. It does not speed up display of caller information, but if you can remember what you assigned to whom, then at least you know who is calling.
