Please note the Handango compatable devise description is WRONG, this device won't work on the current US Motorola or Sampung Smartphones:

SmartyCalc runs only on Smartphone 2003 devices (Orange SPVE200, QTEK 8080, O2 Xphone)

Yep, I though I finally had an answer to my need for math software on the smartphone but it will not install on my i600. E-mails to them come back without being delivered as well.

The author just sent me a version for the 2002 Smartphones. I'll try it and report how it installs / works.

Let us know. How did you communicate with them? My e-mail came back "could not deliver".

The new SP 2002 version installs fine on my Samsung i600. The developer sent me the new version directly. There active email address is [email protected]. My exchange server deleted the new version .exe and they emailed my a zipped version in > five minutes. They are very responsive!

Karl,
How does the software perform? Easy to use or awkward?

Right now it is a little awkard but the app has all the capabilities I need, including financial. The key setup (no stylus) doesn't really allow a calculator type data entry and functional (+,-,*,/,etc.) and they have done a pretty good job of getting everything in there.

Try it out. If we can figure out an alternative, I think the author will be responsive to suggestions.

I tried it, I like it, I want some more like it. (check country music for attribution). It is a good piece of software for the smartphone.
