Through the Dial-A-Life Program, an initiative developed by Martinez, Miami-Dade County agencies collect donated phones and reprogram them to only make 911 calls. The phones will then be provided to needy residents through social service agencies who serve the elderly, people with disabilities, domestic violence victims and low-income residents."<br /><br />If you have an old cell phone laying around unused, donating it to this program would be a very cool thing to do. Call (305) 375-4971 for more information.
