Check it out:

They were using ActiveSync 7.1! Of course! I hear ActiveSync 7.1 adds a whole bunch of critical new features, including a new one called "synchronization".

They meant 3.7.1 of course, but it was a fun typo to catch. They gave the phones such great marks of course because they ROCK! I've been using my old SPV with an Exchange 2003 server for the past few weeks, and it's a blissful combination (more on that later).

Congrats to Motorola, Samsung, and Microsoft on a very positive review! And to think, Smartphone 2003 is even better... :D

Actually, SnagIt! from www.techsmith.com did it automatically for me. Wicked little app for screen caps. :D

Jason,

Did you also notice that the writer of the story failed to mention that neither of the phones he was reviewing actually were running Smartphone 2003 (as he implies) 8O

AND, to top it all off, he refers to WM as "Windows Media Player 8"! I know the audio codec is WM8, but the video codec is WM7 on Smartphone 2002 and I don't think I have ever heard of Windows Media Player 8! Didn't it go from Windows Media 7 to Windows Media 9?

That along with the ActiveSync typo...hope they fix it before it goes to press!

Otherwise, it's great to see all these positive reviews of the Smartphones!

Still OT, but what the heck. That's one cool app. They have the perfect testimonial on their front page.

"I’m still blown away that TechSmith created software I never imagined I needed and now can’t live without."

There goes $40 well spent. Thanks for the tip!

Yes, the article did have a few versioning errors, but the enjoyment in using the product is what really matters. ;-)
