How to turn on keypad backlighting on MPx200?

Anyone know how to turn on the keypad backlighting on the mpx200?

I checked in Power Settings -> Backlight- but I think that is only for the screen.

If the backlight for your keypad doesn't light up then you have a defective unit. Either return it to the store and get a new one or try to deal with Motorola's incredibly bad tech support. (Those Indian folks seem nice and I think really do attempt to help but just because you speak English does not mean you understand English.) If you go and look around Motorola's website there is a page that talks about trying to find a local repair center or dealing with the national repair center. That's your best bet if the place you purchased it from won't exchange your device. Just skip the phone number in the book as they won't do anything but tell you to call AT&T regardless of whether or not AT&T is your service provider.
