Hmmmm I have looked through all the material that was in the box and I don't see a quick start guide. Ok someone just messaged me and said it was a red and black booklet that says "Quick reference guide" and I didn't get one. That would explain why I didn't find any ActiveSync documentation. No biggie as I already knew how to use it. Thanks.

I got my phone from Verizon in NY.

There is no quickstart guide. There IS a quick reference guide.

None of these items mention the cradle charger or it's lights:

Here are the items included with my phone:
1) CD Samsung i600 Literature Companion
This has the i600 User Guide in pdf format.

2) CD Samsung i600 Software Companion
This has MS Outlook 2000 and MS ActiveSync 3.7

3) CD Verizon Start Up CD Wireless Sync
This is necessary software to use the pay Sync service from Verizon

4) SD Card (14MB) Verizon Various Demo software for Smartphone
eWallet, etc...

5) Verizon Quick Reference Guide
a small pamphlet explaining main features of the phone

well I sent an e-mail to [email protected] and they responded:

"Thank you for your inquiry on your SCH-i600 model phone.

The lights on the charging cradle indicate different degrees of charging of the battery.
When red, it means the battery is low and it is currently charging.
When the light is orange, it means there is not a solid connection to the cradle.

Make sure to stand the phone upright, place it in the cradle and then tilt it back into the cradle's 45 degree angle.
The light being green indicates the battery is fully charged.

If the unit is left in the cradle, you will see it turn red about once per hour as the charging will stop when it reaches full charge but will periodically send it a service charge just to maintain full capacity.
