Installing to SD Card

I can't seem to install applications to the SD card. I can see the card (and copy to it) in ActiveSync and File Explorer, but when I try to install and application the "Install to Default Directory" is greyed out and I can't change it. Thoughts?

It seems as though this choice is made on the MPx200 itself when the .cab is installing, rather than through PC-based app loader (at least that's the way it's worked for the 4 apps I've installed).
