Smartphone 2003 Available For Developer Kit Phones

This one upgrades the phone to Smartphone 2003! :D <br /><br />This is, unfortunately, not a simple install. You need to use a storage card and dig out the instructions from an earlier ROM version. Don't worry if you deleted it, it's still on their FTP site.<br /><br />This update should only be used by those who purchased a Smartphone Developer Kit from Everlink. Other devices are not supported.<br /><br />Some folks, myself included, are having reporting issues with the upgrade. Please be cautious if you choose to upgrade - make sure you've got plenty of time and patience. I'll report back as soon as I get a successful upgrade done.

well thats what i saw till i clicked get connected in active synch
now it works fine

I wonder if Everlink has improved the Radio s/w. I mean if problems like choppy voice and data connection (email check) in the middle of voice call etc have been fixed or not.

i'm not shure about that but they seem to have fixed all of the problems that i was experincing

Hey...it doesnt even work properly for the one it was released :-)

I have a Red-E yet I dont have the guts to try it on my phone. And you are talking about trying it on SPV. 8O

but it is customized to the red-e phone so i dont think i'd try it with another one..

I've completed the upgrade and I am quite happy. USB sync quit working but I sync via infrared and that works fine.

Excuse me, but I'd really like to know how you're able to "sync via infrared"? :? :?: Because my Everlink Wireless red e SC1100 (from the MSFT Smartphone Developer Kit) doesn't have Infrared capability.

Thanks Wuss912. :) The Infrared wasn't working on my old red e SC1100 Smartphone... but I've since gotten a replacement and this one works fine! :D

Hi, I try to update ma smartphone 2002, to 2003. In the document I found I said that before doing the update, I must update to build 1053.
What's is it, and how I do it?
