I've been eyeing the MPx200 and I was wondering if anyone has heard whether or not the SD slot is SDIO compatible? I would like to be able to use an SDIO 802.11 card with a SmartPhone.

It is my understanding that yes, the slot will be SDIO compatible.

A Microsoft Product Manager told me last night that the slot is not SDIO in the MPx200. The slot is just for memory.

Can't confirm this but judging by the following link it would seem that the slot IS SDIO:

Every review of the phone says it is SD/MMC, not SDIO. The owners manual does not mention SD or SDIO, but it does talk about MMC. It is possible that the camera in the link above is not SDIO, but SD and using proprietary interfaces (not SDIO) to shuttle image data to the display. Of course it might be like HP where it does have 1 bit (slow) SDIO and could be made SDIO compatible with a software layer. Who knows for sure?
