His thoughts are basically that the device is smaller than expected but the display wasn't very impressive. Can anyone tell what OS version those screens show? If so what are the visual clues that give it away?

Additionally, the screen looks absolutely terrible. Whites appear a funky shade of blue. Now I know blue is the color of tech these days, but I would like some whites in my display. Dang, and I was so optimistic about this release.

Most of that is the camera - that's very common when photographing LCDs. It doesn't look quite that blue in real life, although it does have more of a blue cast than I would like.

The most obvious sign of 2003 is that they renamed the "Programs" menu on the home screen to "Start"
