Mobile-Review has some great screen shots as well, and what looks to be a very comprehensive overview of the device. Too bad I can't read a word of Russian! 8O

Except for the color of the phone, doesn't this phone have a key layout and design VERY similiar to the Motorola v700?

This is short so I don't get timed out again. What is the LCD's resolution? If it is the standard 176x208 that means Windows Media Micro can only handle Q2VGA playback (160x120). Symbian (Nokia 3650) can do QCIF at 176x144 and even fullscreen at 176x208 with lower framerates. Also where is the control panel? And I did see the name PocketTV in the article. What is the story on video on this phone and on the MS phone OS in general? Anyone?

Mitac 8380 is onsale in HongKong for more than 2 months.
As the feed back in HK is not that good. The main 2 problem were
found from the user are the ringtone and the software lock.

But as there is some website in Mainland China have solve the software lock. But the ringtone is still a BIG problem. The ringtone sound is very low. And is like "breaking" up the speaker !

In HongKong is selling around HKD $3,700 = USD (HKD3,700 / 7.8 )
As the HK Mio disturbutor said they will not going to put much effort in
8380, Since 8390 are coming up end of Sep or Early Oct in HK.

For more information on Mio 8380 in HK. You may visit their Portal at
www.smartmobile.com.hk

Finally I sold my Mio 8380 last week and stay with my Orange SPV.
For any question regarding PPC or SP in HongKong Market. Please
don't hesitate to send me a email.

And Sorry for my poor English

I dont know if I am answering this correctly but....
The screen resolution on the phone is 176 x 220 (fullscreen)

I have not run a windows media video hat is bigger than stated above (160 x 120) because most of my video is run from PocketTV or PocketMVP, playing MPEG and DIVX AVI respectively. Buth programs allow you to run full screen and play movies beautifully when encoded correctly. I've been re-encoding entire 2-hr DVD movies and watching them on my phone when I travel. (Average size = 100 to 200MB)
