MobiPocket: Avantgo for the Smartphone

I found this site:

it has free news and ebooks. The reader is a 14 day trial. It lets you read books and news in the landscape mode! Uses cleartype. Its the closest thing to avantgo I have found. I have not been able to get the desktop syncing but you can get it to send the news once a day as an email attachment, and then open that in the reader.

find it even better than AvantGo as you have a lot more options to choose from when setting up what you want to sync. And using a PDA Portal site like www.pdaportal.us to build up a list of sites makes it really useful - especially with the high GPRS charges we have here
