http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=87801

I'm a designer and so I'm terribly picky about the Home skins I'll install on my Smartphone. I have a few requirements for my skins: date and time, carrier, email and SMS counters, and the MRU must all be on a single screen, the next appointment is a nice bonus. I used Airbus for quite a while because it met all my requirements and looked good while doing it. However I got bored with it. I would try other skins but they would only last a few days, or a few hours, because they just didn't meet my high standards.

Then about a month ago the official MoDaCo skin came out. I used it for a little while but it was a little dark for my tastes and didn't really do anything for me. I was about to go back to Airbus when last week, I found Midnight's new skin on MoDaCo.

Alien Invention is the king of all skins, it's elegantly designed and it totally pushes the limits of skinning. Not only is there a home screen, but every screen under the sun is skinned- call progress, volume, alerts, WMP, even the Programs menu. Plus it has a bunch of great sounds that install with it too. Do you like your skin of choice better than this for some reason? Let us know so we can start learning what makes a good skin in your eyes (hint, hint).

Very nice! I have tried many different themes but always keep returning to an Xbox theme. It's really fun to show people the phone and say: "It's an Xbox phone!". They go "AWHHH!". Then I explain what it really is and have their full attention! 8)

This is going to sound dumb, but what do I do with the cab file after I download it. When I save it to the disk the cab file shows 0 bytes and there is nothing in the directory when I unzip it.

Copy the CAB file over to your phone's "Startup" folder through Activesync. Restart and *poof* it's installed. Likewise, you could copy it to your Accesories folder and run it manually.
