Interesting - why? With a connected device can't you just access the data you need live with Pocket Internet Explorer? :D

There have been several requests for that on the newsgroup too... I don't understand it too well either. Could be that opening local files is faster than grabbing them over GPRS or maybe a cost issue? You could use ActiveSync pass through to sync occasionally instead of paying for GPRS usage.

3 very important reasons for me...

I could sync a large amount of data through my PC (as in free) rather than browsing it through GPRS.

I could read news sites on the tube

Things like cinema listings etc would be right there and quick to access rather than the up to 5 minute dial, connect and load times through GPRS.

Yes I can (and do) but that is close to robbery. :( GPRS are insanly priced here in Norway. 14US$ for the first half MB, then it gets a bit cheaper.

I'll go for Code City's CityTime and DeveloperOne's PowerTasks.

Well it looks like I was wrong, it is "only" about USD 7 for the first half megabyte and then about about USD 1 per megabyte.

Geez. For once it seems the US is ahead of the curve... I've got the T-Mobile unlimited GPRS data plan at $19.99/mo! Now if I could just get this phone to connect to GPRS more predictably!

Hey Chronos...are you following me? (Cornaglian)

I like

IA Caller ID
DeveloperOne PowerTasks
Repligo
and SmartphoneNotes when it finally comes out (in beta now!)

Midnights SpeedBooster Tweaks are mandetory as well as SmartExplorer And Smart Task Manager (for closing applications).
PHM Registry Editor is great for making those little tweaks!

SMS Tools is very handy.

PocketTV for watching MPEGs

IA Album as a picture viewer and camera interface.

Tiny Ebook Reader or Orneta Reader for eTexts.

eWallet for now....but I may get CodeWallet since it syncs with the PC automatically.

Lemonade Tycoon will be my fav game when it comes out and Links looks pretty cool as well!

I'm still waiting for a MS Money program and a PocketStreets as well. Got my fingers crossed!

That's it!

Give Micro-Cheng MyTools a try. www.micro-cheng.com/products/mytoolsp.html

But apparently the site isn't working right now... :(

Or you can go for SP Task Manager from www.binarys.com

For me, it is Infowave SymmetryPro to access efficiently corporate email.

1 gotcha though: I have an unlocked SPV which I use on the AT&T GSM network. I initially could not install this app although I had decerted my SPV (using the provisioning xml file hack). apparently that did leave certification on the access of some API that SymmetryPro is using. the Orange over-the-air decert should do the trick.

While I await a beta from Midcast (streaming real time stock ticker) I'm using Stock Manager (www.tinystock.com) to track my stocks. Pretty nice, and uses a wireless connection to track prices. :D

Clearvue Suite has to be the most useful software out there. View and print images and documents with your phone. Very cool. Check it out www.westtek.com they also have a great deal going with Microsoft and Motorola here http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/office/default.mspx

I agree, after Internet Explorer and Inbox, it's probably my most often used app.

More on the wishlist note however, I'd LOVE to see Pimcity port over Pocket TV viewer. It's a great program on Palm and PPC and there doesn't really seem to be a TV listings program on the Smartphone platform yet (and TV Guide Online definately doesn't cut it right now).
