Windows Phone Director Aaron Woodman -- the same Aaron that stopped by our own Engadget Show a few months back -- recently paused to show off a Tango video calling application on the aforementioned handset. We knew good and well that the front-facing Titan camera would be put to use by something, and now you know."</em></p><p><img src="http://images.thoughtsmedia.com/resizer/thumbs/size/600/wpt/auto/1316479523.usr110171.jpg" style="border: 1px solid #d2d2bb;" /></p><p>As Mango-based Windows Phone 7 smartphones start to make their appearances it seems that video calling is a possibility if your handset has the capability. The mammoth HTC Titan seems to be able to do it!</p>

I wonder how relevant this will be; I had video call capabilities many years ago with several devices like Nokia and others and, honestly I never used it. Same with a lot of other people I know.
It is a nice addition but not one that will compel me to replace my HD 7.
Actually I am set with this "transition" OS and I will wait until WP8 or whatever will be called to decide what to do as far as choosing my new device.

I wander if this Tango is another video call service or is it some sort of Skype integration or somehow compatible with Skype. I used Skype video calling a lot on my iPhone 4, now that I replaced it with WP7 phone this is one feature that I miss the most.

I would hope a Skype compatible IM/video app appears shortly for Mango devices. MS owns them (Skype). It appears to be the most cross platform supported such capability out there.
